Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 – Accelerate Action
At Paddington Works, International Women’s Day is more than just a date on the calendar—it’s a celebration of the strength, collaboration, and leadership of women in business, our workspace, and beyond.
As an all-female team, we take pride in creating a space that fosters enterprise and inclusivity.
In our blog, we reflect on the importance of accelerating action, the power of community, and the impact of a workspace run by an all-female team that champions female leadership, dedication, and creativity.

It is especially important to celebrate International Women’s Day at Paddington Works. We are an all-women team, which I think is very impressive and empowering.
Dara
We’re an all-female team, which is inspiring. It’s great to see us all together to keep the building running smoothly while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for our members and guests.
Ella
It’s a great opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the women who make an impact across different industries. With a diverse mix of female-led businesses and traditionally male-dominated sectors, this day allows us to spotlight success and inspire each other.

In both my personal and professional life, I would say Accelerating Action means taking those pro-active steps to support and empower each other whenever we can.
Dara
To me, Accelerating Action means actively creating opportunities for growth, inclusivity, and well-being. It’s about making sure that women have the support, knowledge, community, and resources to take charge of their lives. Professionally, it means fostering an environment where women are supported in leadership and decision-making roles. Being part of an all-female team here reinforces the importance of collaboration and supported growth.

Literally all the time! I don’t know anyone who feels completely confident all the time—and if you do, it’s probably a sign that it’s time to challenge yourself with a new role or added responsibilities. You just have to embrace the discomfort and do it anyway, trusting that your previous experience will guide you toward the result you want. And if things start to feel off track, lean on your team—we’re all here to support each other.
Ella
Of course, I think everyone experiences moments of self-doubt or imposter syndrome, especially when stepping outside of their comfort zone or pushing their limits. For me, I feel this the most when I’m challenging myself. During those times, I lean on my team for encouragement.
Rosie
Finance Manager
As a female-run business, we are showing that every role here is achievable as a woman, across all functions. Regular check-ins, reviews of team performance, sharing knowledge, and support of well-being make this space empowering to me.
Chloe
We have several female-led companies at Paddington Works and we are passionate about supporting them and helping them grow.
Rosie
Finance Manager
When working in facilities operations in previous roles, where this is a predominantly male-focused role, where I often felt imposter syndrome. With training, support, guidance and knowledge, always asking questions, and believing I have a right to be here pushed me through to develop my career.
Ella
Community Assistant
My whole team! As a female-only team, I know I can rely on each of them when needed, we all understand and see the importance of helping each other.
Kristi
General Manager
As a manager, I always strive to create a safe environment for my team, where they feel comfortable sharing any challenges affecting them, both inside and outside the workplace. We aren’t robots, and I want my team to feel empowered to bring their authentic and honest selves to work each day. We spend so much time together and genuinely get along, which makes even the difficult days much easier to navigate!
Ella
Supporting and uplifting each other is so important, I try and do this by talking about and celebrating each other’s successes, and sharing knowledge to help each advance in any way.

Trust in your abilities and embrace your unique strengths—we all bring something valuable to the table.
Ella
As someone also just starting out in their career, I would say it’s important to stay curious, ask questions, share knowledge and make meaningful connections.
